Dry Fitting Success

WHAT’S NEW WITH US?

Currently at the WEI workshop we are starting to make progress on the second and third table. Wait, at the same time? Well yes; we are working to make two at once. The first table took us a bit of work but with all the bumps in the road patched up, we are taking off to the skies.

The first table that was actually tested for fit.

Questions you may have for us:

Q: Can you still order a table for your home today?

A: We are waiting for your emails and phones so you can support the

students and get a chance to cherish a piece of history in your own home.

Q: Can you customize measurements of the slab?

A: We are willing to shorten the table top just for you. Replacing your dining

table for this beautiful art work will be worthwhile.

THOUGHTS & COMMENTS

Feel free to send us your thoughts or comments about the project. You are more then welcome to share some of your opinion.

Are we doing a good job of updating you? Are we bringing you interesting newlines of our progress?

Just let us know, we would be glad to hear from you.

GLIMPSE INTO THE FUTURE

In the next couple of weeks we want to have finish on our first table. Hopefully we can get loads of sanding done in the upcoming week and open up some space in the shop for other things to be accomplished. The students will be embarking on producing a second and third table for the

in the next two weeks. The production team is up for the challenge and hopefully they succeed at the task at hand. There is only about a month left for the goal to be complete.

Bow ties help seal the cracks and keep the wood from splitting. Method is efficient and keeps most of the natural wood.

Check in next issue to see where the tables and when you can cash in on new furniture for your house.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

In the near future the students plan on completing at least three tables by the end of the semester. The overall goal is to produce and sell four tables. Hopefully our readers out there, will support our goal and buy this piece of Hokie History. We want you to have this piece of Virginia Tech and chersih it

for centuries.
